Kitchen Wars

I have been in South Korea for almost two weeks and I still can't wrap my head around it. We left on the 11th once the album was done and headed back to S. korea. Not too bad of a flight. I slept most of the way, we all did.

When we arrived we went straight to SM. The boys went their own way and I followed Baek to his office which I would be sharing with him. He gave me a tour and introduce me to TONS of people none of whom I can remember their names.

No offense but Korean names can be confusing! Needless to stay I was LOST from the get go. I just smiled and nodded to them, speaking only English since I know no Korea except very very basic words like yes or no. Most knew English, THANK GOODNESS. I thought I was going to have to use very crude sign language or something.

Afterwards Baek and I had lunch on the way to my new pre-furbished studio apartment. Its very cute with the bed in an upstairs loft. (I posted a picture). Its close to SM too, I could walk if I wanted too. Maybe no in cold weather but warm is ok, not too bad.

On the 12th JYJ paid their respects to Park Yong Ha. I didn't go obviously but JYJ came over after to help me settle in and throw a small housewarming party. They really needed the distraction. They gave me the American flag you see on the wall in the picture. They said so I had a piece of home with me. I didn't tell them that Spain was home for me because it was a very touching gift and in a way America was home too, my mother was there.

Jaejoong and I cooked. Well let me get this straight. Jaejoong cooked and I was an unwanted assitant. I fetched and carried whatever Jaejoong wanted and just stood back and watched. Jaejoong made it very clear who was in charge of the kitchen. It is obvious that the "Kitchen" no matter whose home it was, was Jaejoong's domain. Yoochun and Junsu of course found it VERY funny to watch the silent but VERY obivous battle between Jaejoong and I.

I am use to being in charge if the kitchen when mom and I cook so giving up the control was a little hard for me...ok no it was VERY hard.

But Jaejoong just said goodbye to one of his best friends I wasn't about to battle him for the kitchen, mine or not. He seemed a little less sad while he was cooking and I wasn't going to begrude him a little distraction.

Jae made Bibimbap which was AMAZING. I ate two helpings of this amazing Korean dish.

After that I gave them a tour of boxes and suitcases scattered around the small apartment. They wanted to stay and help me unpack but I told them to go rest. I was tired I could only image how they felt. I told them to go home and rest that I wanted a nap before I unpacked but of course that was a lie. As soon as they were gone I started to unpack my stuff, it didn't take that long.

Of course when I go to the bed loft to lay down it then occured to me I had no sheets from the low platform bed. I luckily brought one of my own blankets from home and used that to make like a sandwhich with me in the middle after making a list of things to needed for the apartment. I would ask Baek in the morning. Luckily I had a nice savings put away from lots of summer jobs and part times at my mom's work. It was more then enough to get me through my internship with money to spare.

Needless to say the past two weeks had bene nothing but getting settled in. I got the things I needed for the apartments, sheets, towels, toiletries, kitchen stuff, etc.

JYJ will be in A-Nations next month so after a few days of resting things began to pick up again. I can't wait to be in Japan again! Finally a language I know!

Yoochun of course is working on Sungkyunkwan scandal, which yesterday he had his fanmeet.

Also don't forget fan meeting event in Seoul on September 4th with JYJ.

Avex and SM have been working well together with JYJ despite the lawsuits, to which I was very very surprised. Please remember that JYJ is Avex's name for Junsu, Jaejoong and Yoochun's trio group because they can not use SM's copyrighted title of DBSK, but JYJ is not confirmed. While my internship is with SM entertainments, a lot of JYJ events is through Avex which honestly is very confusing though JYJ is still doing SM events though. I guess I am just along for the ride.
