Who am I?

Hi!

I am Ayumi Maria Soto, 23 years old, half Japanese, half Spanish. My father was Japanese and my mother is from Spain. My father died when I was 10 years old in a car accident, so its just my mom and I. I have no siblings, but lots of cousins on my mom's side (HUGE spanish family but most live in Spain) and grandparents on my father's side (they live in Japan).

My parents met in college, my father was in an exchange program in Spain. They fell in love and got married two years after they met and two years later I came along. I grew up in Spain (and spent every summer in Japan with my grandparents) until I was 13 when my mom got a job transfer to New York. She works in a modeling agency and was sent (she actually requested) to a sister company in New York.

Of course I was torn betweening leaving my home and going to USA. I mean it was NEW YORK! Part of me was glad to leave and start new, it had been very hard since my dad died but I also hated leaving the place filled with my father's memories.

New York was amazing! I mean the lights, sounds and well smells were COMPLETELY different from Málaga, Spain. I hate the cold so living in NY was terrible during the winters. Ski trips and a few weeks in Japan for christmas is one thing but MONTHS of cold is something completely different.

Mom (Carmen Rosadio) and I lived in New York until I was 17 years old then we moved again. LA, California. I was VERY excited. I mean no more NY winters and hello beaches was definately a major plus. I mean ya I would miss my friends but they knew I was super excited about moving. The moving before I graduate thing was a pain but again BEACHES, WARMTH, ok. lol.

So LA it was. I graduated high school and started looking for colleges close to home. I loved what my mom did (mainly coordinating models and supervising managers but she did have a few models under her wing) and wanted to do something like her but with music.

FYI for those wondering no I never modeled, my mom tired to get me to when I was younger but I would just sit down and cry on the runway. >.<

I am HUGE fan of music though and took lots of music classes growing up and I want to be a manager/producer. Perferably a company that works international, in this case AVEX or SM Entertainments. I am a HUGE fan of SUJU, BI-RAIN, DBSK, GACKT, X-JAPAN, DIR EN GREY, SEVEN, ARASHI, etc.

So I enrolled at Musician Institute for music business, and audio engineering. It was a blast. All I did was study and I just graduated this past december. Now I am looking into some schools for business management degrees and looking for interships into some local music companies, including the California branch of SM Entertainments. Nothig so far.

So currently I am between schools and unemployed. Wonderful place to be at (note scarcasism).

Now your probably wondering why I started this blog to begin with. Well you know my history and my goals, but I have a story to tell you DBSK fans out there, but thats for my next blog. I will return in a few hours to write all about it.
